Captain Robert (Bob) Wranovics Jr.

Captain Robert Wranovics Jr. was born in Staten Island, NY July 14th 1960. Being around boats at an early age instilled a love of the ocean and a desire to enjoy the benefits of the water we are surrounded by.

A retired detective of 20 years in the NY police department Bob divided his time with the NYPD and his love of the water. Earning his captains license Bob cut his teeth on commercial fishing boats, tuna and shark fishing mostly but these open charter boats gave him the experience a professional needs.

Eventually earning his 50 ton master captains license Bob also earned his Master Scuba Diver Trainer Rating with PADI the Professional Association of Diving Instructors [MSDT 184889] He holds multiple teaching certifications including DAN Oxygen Provider, a host of dive specialties including Night Diver, Deep Diver, Enriched Air Diver and many more. He also teaches the first aid and CPR course, Emergency First Response an excellent course Bob feels everyone should take. Having been a diver since 1987 it was only natural for Bob to continue his education in the sport that allows him to fully explore this oceanic wonderland. Bobs’ newest interests included teaching his son Robert John the art of diving and spearfishing. After his most recent trip to the Tortugas on one of our group trips planned several times a year with Dixie Divers Bob came back as one of the top shooters, no surprise for a NYPD vet. So come out on the Lady Go Diver and enjoy Bobs’ company as he brings you to the best spots our many wreck and reef sites. See you on the boat!!!!
